【New Employee Training 2025】 What NIT’s new recruits (fresh graduates) learn in their first three months with the company.

Hello.
I am the new employee training manager (instructor) of Nihon Insight Technologies Corporation (NIT), a “group of engineers pioneering a bright future with cutting-edge IT”.

NIT's Tokyo Ginza headquarters are located on the 7th and 9th floors of the “Pulp & Paper Building”.
The rooftop terrace “Ginza Bee Garden” on the 10th floor of the Pulp & Paper Building was open to the public for a limited time until recently.
Someiyoshino cherry trees were in bloom at the “Ginza Bee Garden” and I realized that it is the season of cherry blossoms.


Now, NIT welcomed 23 new graduates and 2 new career hires on April 1, 2025.
An induction ceremony for 23 of these new graduates was held on April 1, and training for new graduates began, scheduled to last three months until the end of June.
In addition to those who wish to work in Tokyo, those who wish to work in Nagoya or Osaka have joined the company this year, but during the new employee training period, all new employees attend the course together in the “GINZA SQUARE” conference room on the 9th floor of the Tokyo Ginza Head Office.

The ultimate goal of the new employee training is to create a web application using primarily Java while communicating appropriately with those around them.
You will learn not only Java syntax and programming, but also the structure of how the final Web application is built by combining source files written in Java and surrounding technologies.
We also emphasize the importance of proper communication, as we work as part of a team in actual operations.

The new employee training is conducted in a format in which 23 new employees study and create deliverables according to the materials, and three instructors answer questions that arise during the training.
At this point, the main focus is on learning about Java grammar, but numerous questions have been posed to the instructor in this area.
Although the level of progress and understanding of the training varies from person to person, the training is tailored to each individual's progress, and additional learning content is prepared for those who are progressing quickly.


For a working person, it is important to be in a good relationship with one's new colleagues, and I am relieved to see that our new employees are getting along well with their peers and communicating with each other as soon as they join the company and go through the training program.
Although many of the things they will learn will be difficult, we hope that new employees will “enjoy” the training, do their best to master it, and learn more during this training period.


We also want new hires to learn “how to learn” as well as Java and other technologies.
NIT also handles a number of non-Java technologies (Pega, Salesforce, etc.), and there are many opportunities to learn about technologies not covered in new employee training.
We hope that the “study methods” acquired in this new employee training will be useful as they continue to learn various technologies in the future.

Upon successful completion of the new employee training, they will be assigned to their respective business unit and participate in projects.
The instructors are looking forward to seeing the new recruits in action on a variety of projects after they complete the training, which is about to get underway.
