This is my work
I am currently involved in the development of a review system for the pharmaceutical industry. When I joined the project, the application development itself had already been completed and was in the testing operation stage. My job is to add new functionality to the existing system and, in some cases, to deal with problems. Specifically, I am in charge of everything from designing my own modifications to programming and testing, and I feel that this is an environment in which I can learn a lot.
That's why I love this job! Episodes related to what made me happiest
My first job after training was to operate, maintain, and modify an application. My first system development job was to add new functionality to an existing application. The design was done by someone else, but I was in charge of the programming and testing that followed. Since it was an addition to an existing system, my first task was to understand what the existing system looked like. This was also a new experience for me, since I had done all the work by myself during the training. I remember very well that I had a very hard time because I did not have a good grasp of the existing system and sometimes the application did not work as I wanted it to. However, because of the hard work, I felt a definite sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when I saw the program I had created added to a large application that others had created and was working.
Why I chose this company I like it here
As I continued my job search, I became more and more attracted to jobs that would require me to develop my skills and demand them. However, being a literature graduate myself, I did not have any particular skills that I could utilize in my work. In this situation, I thought that a job where I could gain experience and acquire skills after joining a company would be valuable, and decided that I wanted to become a system engineer or programmer. I was attracted to the fact that our company offers a long training period of three months, during which you can acquire a certain level of skills before going to work. I have completed the training and am now actually working, but I feel that I still have a lot to learn. However, I find it rewarding to be able to accumulate knowledge and experience day by day and to feel that I am growing as a person.
